4.0.111 Oct 2026
Pestle is getting a lot smarter in 4.0 Hey everyone, Pestle’s iOS 27 release is here and it is absolutely packed with new features to make cooking easier, Pestle faster, and a lot more. What’s New: - Head Up: See long instructions before they catch you out, things like long marinade times, overnight proofs and more are surfaced earlier, so you’re never caught out. - Ask Siri what to make for dinner, or much flour you need for one of your saved recipes. - Scale multiple quantities in a single ingredient. - Add an instruction for each step in a recipe. - Up to 8.5x faster launch speed. - Instantaneous search across names, authors, ingredients, categories and more. - New units such as “cans”, “sheets”, “cloves” and more. - Faster recipe processing. - Markdown import - You can now duplicate recipes. - Adjust text size in guided cooking. There are also lots of squashed bugs, too many to list here! I hope you love Pestle 4.0, if you find any oddities don’t hesitate to reach out to Pestle support. 4.0.1: - Improved cookbook and household syncing. - Fixed meal plan widget crashes. - Improved meal plan syncing with Calendar. - Fixed editing recipes from the share extension. - Fixed recipe photos displaying incorrectly after editing. - Improved imports from YouTube in Europe and Pick Up Limes. - Fixed missing letters at the start of some imported instructions. - Improved Heads Up notices so optional waiting times aren’t treated as required. - Improved Siri and Spotlight recipe indexing. - Restored ingredient section headings while cooking. - Updated translations.

Just a small bug fix update here while I work on some massive upgrades to Pestle, coming soon! Fixed: - Some issues with a couple websites. - Guided cooking instructions shifting down. - Timers hanging around on the Lock Screen after cancelling them.

Hey everyone, lots of little bug fixes in this update! Fixed: – The highlighter might not progress when you tapped “Next” on iOS 26. – Cuisines and categories couldn’t be deleted sometimes. – Cuisines applied to a recipe might not stick. – Recipes from Facebook could occasionally fail to import. – Recipes couldn’t be edited once the free limit had been reached. – Opening a Household link might not present the join screen. – Setting had a close button that did nothing on iOS 18. – Pull to search didn’t work on iOS 18. – The “Groceries” shopping list could be repeatedly created. – Added a new option in settings to force a re-sync with the server in the case of any missing recipes. – Some Reels couldn’t be parsed. Whew! Some great new features on the way, but only bug fixes for now!

Hey everyone, more innocuous changes in this one, nothing you’ll notice (hopefully!)
